All-year-round sunshine in Kas

The Turkish Riviera is famous for its high sunshine levels and the resort of Kas is no exception. Boasting a spectacular 320 days of sunshine per year, this unspoiilt area is the perfect year-round sunshine destination. Kas lies on the Mediterranean coast and is sheltered from any winds by the surrounding mountains. Temperatures in Kas during the long summer months can head over the 30°C mark on a regular basis, but have been known to climb above 35°C during July and August. You can expect at least 12 hours of sunshine per day during the peak summer months and practically no rain whatsoever.

High summer temperatures

As a Mediterranean sunshine destination, Kas is hard to beat. From April until October, the temperature in Kas will not usually dip below 20°C and will stay close to 30°C from June until September. The heat during the peak summer months may be too intense for some and the cooler spring and autumn months may be preferable. April, May and October will see temperatures of around 20°C to 25°C and will make exploring nearby resorts such as Kalkan and Olu Deniz a comfortable experience. Evenings during the summer months will be warm, and light clothing will be all that is required.

Mild winters for sunshine breaks

Kas is a sun-lover's delight all year round, thanks to the short, mild winters. Temperatures during the winter months will hover around the 15°C mark, giving more than enough sunshine to pick up a golden tan. Easter and October holidays in Kas are very popular due to the 20°C temperature and seven hours of sunshine each day. While Britain feels the chill during the winter, you can be soaking up the sunshine in Kas after only a four-hour flight!
